Diorama Drawing

Give your guests the ultimate unique experience with the opportunity to draw on our dioramas in North American Hall. Whether your guests want to draw a bow tie on our bison or give our brown bear some extra hair, they will enjoy the rare opportunity to do what is otherwise taboo.

Live Butterflies Exhibit

As part of the first floor rental or North American Hall rental, your guests can enjoy an evening in the Academy's Butterflies! exhibit, which features live tropical butterflies from around the world. There is a butterfly handler on site during the event to answer any questions your guests may have.

Live Animals

Did you know that the Academy has over 100 species of live animals who can join your event? Your guests certainly won’t forget an up-close-and-personal encounter  with a hedgehog, hawk, owl or even snake.

Changing Exhibits

The Academy hosts a rotating schedule of limited-engagement exhibits that can be added to any first floor or North American Hall rental. Our past exhibits have included Dinosaurs Unearthed, Xtreme Bugs, Animal Grossology and Backyard Adventures. Special exhibits offer an interactive experience that your guests will not forget.
