Celebrate your child’s special day in a one-of-a-kind way! We offer theme parties for kids who love dinosaurs, animals, and bugs. Basic parties and add-on options are available. Members also save! Not a member? Join today. 

All Birthday Parties:

• Are for children ages 3 and up
• Are two hours long
• Are available at 10:30 a.m. or 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays
• Include a private party room and expert Academy Birthday Host
• Feature a private party tour
• Offer printable party invitations

Theme Birthday Party

Throw your child the perfect theme party and let us take care of all the details. A theme birthday party at the Academy includes a private party room, a birthday party host to a tour of our exhibits, and experiences the party guests will talk about all year long.

Parties include: 

• Themed birthday cupcakes
• Unique science-themed paper goods
• Brightly colored table covers and table decorations
• A special birthday gift for the honoree

Choose from the following themes:

• Dinosaur
• Animal
• Bug
• Slime

Pricing for a theme birthday party, not including add-on encounters, is:

• $450 for members

Prices are based on a group of up to 20 guests, including adults and children. The birthday child and their parents are free!
For parties larger than 20 people, an additional fee of $12 per additional guest will be added.

Basic Birthday Party

Want to keep it simple but still celebrate in the midst of Philadelphia's famous dinosaurs? Enjoy a private party room and a birthday party host to tour of our exhibits.

Pricing for a basic birthday party, not including add-on encounters, is:

• $350 for members
• $390 for nonmembers (Not a member? Join today.)

For parties larger than 20 people, an additional fee of $10 per additional guest will be added.

Add-Ons

Specialized gift bags are available for $10 each.

Animal Encounters are available for $65.

Fossil Encounters are available for $65.
