Generations of Philadelphians and visitors have enjoyed the Academy’s iconic dioramas and dinosaurs. With a more-than two-century history plus new things to explore every day, the Academy is the perfect place to spend time with your favorite people!

Check out Illuminating Birds, where you can experience avian artworks and then try your own hand at drawing or writing about birds while surrounded by inspiring specimens, field notes, feathers and more. While you’re here, explore Skin: Living Armor, Evolving Identity (offered in English and Spanish) to discover the shape-shifting, color-changing and ever-evolving nature of this complex organ.
