Explore Dinosaur Hall, Outside In and a special exhibition featuring the magnificent, feathered creatures that live among us — birds! Plus, be among the first to see Skin: Living Armor, Evolving Identity, our newest limited-time special exhibit focusing on the shapeshifting, color-changing and ever-evolving nature of this complex organ. Discover something you’ve never seen before and make some memories with your family.

Wawa Welcome America is Philadelphia’s premier July 4th festival, the largest July 4th celebration in America, and one of the largest free festivals in the country. Wawa Welcome America offers residents and visitors alike 16 days of free, family-friendly programming across the city, with a focus on arts, culture, diversity, education, wellness, history, and performance. Festival attendees can enjoy free concerts, fireworks, complimentary museum access, Wawa Hoagie Day, and more!

Pay-what-you-wish tickets to the Academy will be available at the door on a first-come, first-served basis. Advance purchase online is strongly recommended to guarantee admission, as space is limited. Morning tickets are valid from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (guests must exit by 1 p.m.), and afternoon tickets are valid from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (guests must wait until 1 p.m. to enter).
