Junior Academy Explorers Dinos of Ice and Snow (ages 7–9)

1–3:30 p.m.

Winter is cold and dark in the Arctic Circle, but the dinos of ice and snow don’t mind! Ask questions and conduct experiments to learn how these polar dinosaurs survived, then create your very own Troodon to take home.

The Academy is home to millions of scientific specimens, including Thomas Jefferson’s very own collection of fossils! If you share this founding father’s passion for paleontology, help our team in digging up dinosaurs, preparing them for the lab, and discovering loads of prehistoric fun.

Junior Academy Explorers Escape the Academy: Roosevelt’s River (ages 7–9)

1–3:30 p.m.

In this escape-room-like session, like Teddy Roosevelt himself, you and your team will embark on an expedition up what is now known as the Roosevelt River. You must overcome perils such as piranhas, rough rapids, puzzles, and the great unknown. Will you make it out alive with all your teammates or will you be lost in the Amazon Rainforest forever?
