PHILADELPHIA
June 7, 2016
Explore the world of dinosaurs and have a Dino-mite Summer blast at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University. Starting Tuesday, July 5, Philadelphia’s dinosaur museum will present new, free-with-admission daily activities and a chance to come face-to-face with roaring, moving, life-size animatronic dinosaurs in Dinosaurs Unearthed.
Visitors will meet live dinosaur relatives (birds and reptiles); get the behind-the-scenes scoop during a tour of Dinosaur Hall; join fellow LEGO-lovers in building dino-inspired creations; share a belly laugh with Marty the Moose during story-telling time, and more.
With an admission to the Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibit, visitors can even make a jacket for a fossil to take home. Dino-mite Summer programming runs from July 5 through Sept. 2. Dinosaurs Unearthed, an engaging exhibit featuring moving, roaring, full-bodied animatronic dinosaurs, continues through Jan. 17.
Here’s what’s in store for Dino-mite Summer:
Meet the Academy’s live snakes, turtles, and lizards and use cutting-edge technology to explore their miniature world.
Make a jacket for a fossil or create a miniature paleo-dig site to take home. Free with admission to Dinosaurs Unearthed.
