Who:
Members of the media are cordially invited to preview the new bicentennial exhibit of the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University before it opens to the public. It opens to the public on Saturday, March 24.
What:
The Academy at 200: The Nature of Discovery builds on the Academy’s extraordinary collections and two centuries of scientific exploration. It celebrates the groundbreaking discoveries of the past and present and provides a glimpse into the future of one of the world’s great natural history museums. The exhibit is the centerpiece of a yearlong celebration that officially begins Saturday, March 24, to mark the Academy’s Bicentennial. Founded in 1812, the Academy is the nation’s oldest natural history museum, a world leader in natural science research, and a major cultural destination.
Special guests include visiting elementary school students, Academy staff and exhibit creators.
