The Academy of Natural Sciences is located at the corner of 19th Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. It faces Logan Circle. You can also locate it using Google Maps, Bing Maps, or MapQuest.

Public Transportation

Three SEPTA bus routes run within a block of the Academy. Southbound Routes 32 and 33 use 19th Street. Northbound Route 32 uses 18th Street, while Northbound Route 33 uses 20th Street. Route 38 uses 20th Street in both directions. In addition, Westbound Route 48 uses Arch Street, while several Subway-Surface Trolleys and the Market-Frankford Line run under Market Street. Suburban Station is the closest regional rail station.

Driving

Visitors traveling on US Route 76 should take US Route 676 East and take the first exit onto Winter Street to Logan Circle. (Please note that this exit appears almost immediately after you merge onto US Route 676.) Those traveling west on US Route 676 should exit at 22nd Street and turn right onto the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and proceed to Logan Circle.

Parking

There is metered parking near the Academy, some of which free on Sunday (look for the signs that say “Except Sunday”). The following lots and garages offer discounts to our visitors. Please read carefully, as some lots have special requirements to obtain their discounts.

Logan Square Garage

Academy visitors receive exclusive parking discounts at the Logan Square Garage at 1815 Cherry Street. Please download the iParkit App and sign up for Express Hourly Parking (No Reservations Needed). Use program code ACADNMP001 to receive exclusive parking rates and an additional 20% off your first five uses. The first five uses discount also applies to other parking garages throughout Philadelphia. Remember to scan your parking reservation at the entry station when you arrive.
