History of Haddy Hike
Saturday, April 26, 2025
9:00 AM-11:00 AM
You may be familiar with “Haddy”, the duckbilled dinosaur that stands inside Dinosaur Hall, but have you ever thought about where it came from?
Academy members can take a step back in time when we visit the site where Hadrosaurus foulkii was discovered in 1858. Joined by Academy Geoscience Educator, Amber Guzzi, we will learn more about this famous discovery and the geology of the location.
The group will meet at the Hadrosaurus Foulkii site and then have the option to hike down to the site. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Parking is available along the roadside. In case of inclement weather, we’ll meet at the same time on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
This program is free, but registration is requested. Members, please sign in to register for this program.
