A New Growth: Seeds, Foraging and Regeneration

Saturday, March 18, 2023

1:00 PM-4:00 PM

Explore heritage seeds and foraged plants in the tri-state area with Drexel Food Lab in collaboration with product design students in Drexel University’s Westphal’s College of Media Arts & Design.

Drawing upon the Academy’s Botany Herbarium and collected specimens from Truelove Seeds, this interactive exhibit explores exciting possibilities for sustainable urban farming and expanding your palate. Join us to consider the culinary and agricultural possibilities of our cultural, local and foraged foods!

Organized by Rachel Sherman and Alexandra Schmidt-Ullrich in collaboration with Owen Taylor, Founder of Truelove Seeds.

This collaboration with Westphal College of Media Arts & Design is made possible through the Museum Innovation Fund, an initiative that provides funding to Drexel faculty and students for projects involving conception and rapid prototyping of innovative approaches to museum learning and engagement.
