Academy Town Square Presents: Grassroots Change in Eastwick

Tuesday, March 22, 2022

7:00 PM-8:00 PM

A passionate and determined group of Southwest Philadelphians have been fighting to bring recognition and restorative justice to their community for decades.

We heard their voices when they shared the devastating impacts of disastrous flooding events during October’s Academy Town Square. At this virtual Academy Town Square, learn more about the history of Eastwick and the inspiring grassroots work that is changing the narrative and gaining national attention.

This discussion will be hosted by NBC10 and Telemundo 62 reporter Karen Hua and will feature members of Eastwick United, a collaboration between business, faith-based organizations, community organizations and residents — all coming together to make a difference.

This is a virtual program that will take place via Zoom.
