January 26: Vertebrate Paleontology
Ashley Adams

Meet graduate student Ashley Adams, who studies paleontology and sedimentology. Adams’ studies have taken her around the country in search of dinosaur and plant fossils. She also has considered environmental conditions in which these organisms would have. Recently, her fieldwork has taken her to the Bighorn Basin in Montana, part of the Morrison Formation, where scientists have found some of the most famous dinosaurs of all time!

Learn how to read a rock, and find out what it can tell you about what life was like millions of years ago. Explore some of the gear real paleontologists use out in the field when searching for new discoveries!
