PHILADELPHIA, October 10, 2024—The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University (the Academy) and Victory Brewing Company (Victory) are excited to unveil TriceraHops, a new limited-edition draft beer in honor of the Academy’s newest exhibition, Ice Dinosaurs. TriceraHops is a fruity, cold IPA – brewed at lower-than-normal temperatures to achieve a clean, crisp taste. The beer uses three kinds of hops and will be refreshing with notes of citrus and strawberry.

The IPA was inspired by the Ice Dinosaurs exhibition, which explores the dinosaurs that survived extreme temperatures living in the polar regions during the Cretaceous Era. While Victory’s accompanying IPA is only for ages 21 and up, Ice Dinosaurs features 12 animatronic dinosaurs that create an interactive and educational experience for all ages.

"Victory has been a great partner in creating something new and delicious to celebrate the Academy, its exhibitions and its rich history,” said Kim Reynolds, Chief Advancement Officer for the Academy. “We raise a glass to them and to this exciting collaboration.”

TriceraHops will debut at Victory’s Philadelphia taproom in conjunction with the 17th annual Academy Members’ Night on October 18, 2024. From 5 – 8:30 p.m. the Academy’s most loyal supporters will glimpse behind the scenes of America’s oldest natural history museum, exploring its galleries, collections and research labs and joining Academy staff, scientists and researchers as they present hands-on activities. Members 21 and over are encouraged to visit Victory just down the street at 1776 Benjamin Franklin Parkway to enjoy TriceraHops and continue the Members’ Night merriment.
