Under the Canopy: Animal Encounter
Enjoy an exclusive animal encounter with a live sloth!
Meet Maple the sloth up close and personal at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University.
- Meet Maple inside her enclosure - without the crowds! Get the chance to feed Maple (if she’s hungry) and enjoy a tour of the Under the Canopy exhibit with an expert keeper. Learn about boa constrictors, turtles and other reptiles that inhabit the rainforest and see them live in their enclosures. Discover unique plants and rainforest ecology and explore interactive stations.

- Plus receive an additional general admission ticket to return another day and see the rest of the museum.

Tickets
- $125 for single ticket
- $450 for 4 people (Buy more and save!)
- Guests cannot pet or hold the sloth because she is shy or may not comfortable.
- While this experience is aimed toward adults, families with children under 10 years old are also welcomed, but they must have one parent attending per child.
- Two people at a time may enter the enclosure. One adult guardian must accompany one child.
- Please wear closed-toed shoes and refrain from using strong perfumes, colognes or lotions.
- Food and drinks are not allowed in the exhibit.
- You will be part of a small group (total of 8 people)
- For guests with children, please be mindful of the close space, noise volume and level of engagement around Maple the sloth.
- If Maple cannot accommodate visitors for any reason, the Academy will contact you to provide a rescheduled date.
- This experience is not eligible for refund.
