Fisheries Section Lead, Principal Investigator

Dave has over 20 years of experience in fisheries science and has been with the Academy since 2004. He is responsible for overseeing projects, staff, and field and laboratory research.

His research has focused on restoration and conservation of game and non-game fishes, species of conservation concern, impacts and management of invasive species, and understanding human impacts such as land use change, dams, and emerging contaminants.

Dave is also interested in combining traditional and novel techniques to solve problems dealing with fish.

Daniel P. Morrill, M.S.

Fisheries Biologist

Danny has been with the Academy since 2021 and is responsible for managing Fisheries Section projects and the laboratory.

He has worked with fish from the southeast, mid-west and mid-Atlantic regions of North America. He has extensive experience with fish species inventories, invasive species, migratory fishes, and emerging contaminants.

He conducts statistical analyses and has extensive experience assessing fish assemblages.

Colin R. Rohrback

Fisheries Biologist

Colin has been with the Academy since 2021 and is responsible for assisting with Fisheries Section projects, reports, and supporting field and lab work.

He has worked with fish from the southeast and mid-Atlantic regions of North America. He has extensive experience with fish species inventories, invasive species and migratory fishes.

He has also surveyed and worked on species of greatest conservation need.
