Scientist Saturday: Regional Mollusks

Saturday, November 16, 2019

1:00 PM-4:00 PM

Meet graduate students Heather Kostick and Michelle Gannon, who study mollusks such as clams and snails.

Although both scientists focus on specimens from other countries, they love coming home to observe local species in New Jersey and Delaware. Play an interactive matching game to learn how to identify the mollusks you can find on your beach vacation this summer. See living examples of these organisms. How many species do you recognize from your walks along the beach?
