Behind the Scenes Tours

Available Monday through Friday dependent on scientists’ schedules.

With more than 18 million specimens in our collection, there is a world of surprises to explore at the Academy. Take an in-depth behind-the-scenes tour of the Academy’s rarely seen scientific collections, environmental research laboratories, or treasures of our Library and Archives with a member of our staff. Tours are perfect for groups with a special interest in any one of our collections.

Behind-the-scenes tours are for groups of 10–15 people, at a rate of $32.95 each for adults and $30.95 each for high school or college students. Children must be over age 10. You can take an additional tour on the same day for an additional $10 per person. All above pricing includes general admission to the museum.
