In April, 1889 the Provost of the University of [UNK] William Papper, sent to the officers of the Academy an invitation to move their institution to the campus of the University. The Academy's Council considered the proposal, disapproved it, and reported its reasons in detail to the Academy's membership. The members, agreeing with the council, voted against the move. The papers include the original proposition, resolutions of both the Council and the Academy, and a statement by the Academy's president, General Isaac J. Wistar.
