<p>Scientific artist who worked for the Academy for many years during the first half of this century. She made illustrations for several departments, but her most extended and finest work was for the shell department. This collection contains a single original watercolor plate of <emph render="italic">Liguus </emph>shells which was published as the frontispiece of vol. 2, part 1 of the Academy's <emph render="italic">Monographs, </emph>1946. Nearly 70 of her original colored plates, and several in black and white are found in <emph render="italic">Coll. 555.</emph></p>
