While president of the Academy Mr. Cadwalader entered into many projects to further the Academy's collections, personnel and usefulness to the community. This activity was rewarded by the presentation of the Philadelphian Award in 1934, i. e. the Bok award. While many biographical items are included in this collection, it is in large part a record of events leading up to this award, his sponsors, his letters of congratulation, his acceptance and other matters directly concerned with the occasion. The collection also contains the certificate presented at the evening affair, the report of the award committee, the program of the evening's event and the various news clippings pertaining to it.
