These identifications of Scrophulariaceae from special geographical regions may be referred to plants from one of three sources (1) Pennell's personal collections made in the areas (2) from another collector or (3) from some herbarium from which specimens from special localities were lent for comparative study. The material is arranged by donor, rather than geographically. A second unindexed series of lists is arranged by locality.

A part of the manuscript prepared by Pennell for a paper on the distribution of the Scrophulariaceae and deposited in the library for preservation, awaiting another botanist who might finish the work. Archived 1958.
