Physician attached to U. S. Navy, Rush made his collections during the “Gulf Stream Current Observations” carried out by the U. S. Coast and Geodetic Survey in the working seasons of 1885-87. The complete title: “List of species of mollusks collected during 1885, 1886, 1887, by dredgings from the bed of, and by collecting upon the shores of the countries bordering the Gulf Stream from Cape San Antonio, Cuba, to Cape Hatteras, N. C.”
