Naturalist and entomologist who received Jessup Fund scholarships in 1882 and in 1885. Later became custodian of the collection for the American Entomological Society and subsequently economic entomologist for the Philadelphia Commercial Museum. These papers consist of (a) diary and illustrated field notebook of a trip through Texas in 1884 (b) a sketchbook of 60 drawings in pencil, of insects, spiders and plants with descriptive field notes 1897-1912 (c) text with pen and ink drawings of chapters, 1, 4, 8, and 9 of a projected popular work entitled, “Many Legs and Wings” and (d) a collection of 11 letters written between 1882 and 1919, all signed by Aaron.
