Prospecting for fossils at Big Brook, New Jersey

On August 4, 2012, participants joined Ned Gilmore, Collection Manager for the Academy’s Vertebrate Paleontology Collection, for an Adult Field Study to search for fossils at Big Brook in New Jersey. This site is popular among fossil hunters for the abundance of shark teeth and other marine fossils that date from the Late Cretaceous.
