Dr. Brent Glass, former director for the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, spoke at the Academy on April 11, 2012. His talk, “The Future of Museums: Challenges and Opportunities,” concerned the challenges facing museums in the United States from increased expectations by the public and decreasing financial support.
