Cretaceous Fossils Field Study

Join Ned Gilmore, collection manager of Vertebrate Paleontology, as he takes you to the best site in Delaware for fossil collecting. 
  • 10 a.m.–3 p.m.
  • $35 members, $40 non members
  • Max 20 participants
  • Teachers can earn four Act 48 credits
  • Rain date May 11

Join Ned Gilmore, collection manager of Vertebrate Paleontology, as he takes you to the best site in Delaware for fossil collecting. You’ll uncover fossils from life forms that lived in a shallow sea or along the shore, including clams, oysters, belemnites, brachiopods, and sea urchins. Keep what you find! (Scientifically significant specimens may be retained for the Academy’s collections.)
